Workshop over distance |
■Online workshop "Survival of the fittest" (Berlin -Tokyo
- Osaka")
The workshop focused on different methods for developing idesa and
the creative process in performing arts. post theater worked with
the participants in Tokyo and Osaka online via Skype or iChat. Through
group work and individual guidanace online, the participants created
a solid con cept for a project and were equipped with a presentation
skill to communicate the idea.
The sessions were held between December 2007 and March 2008.

on Workshops
|
Apart from
touring its productions, post theater generates site- and / or
occasion-specific interventions. Often these performances are
combined with workshops with local artists or students. If possible,
post theater tries to attempt to re-mix a production with local
collaborators － including for example adaptations in a local language.
Some of post theater’s works even require local performers essentially
－ such as skinSITEs and momentLAST.
momentLAST is an analysis of a specific space in collaboration
with artists that have a special relationship to such a place.
For each production, historical, architectural, social, political,
cultural and economic aspects are researched by a team of local
collaborators and post theater.
Other workshops train participants in post theater’s methods of
“Haptic Media”, “Site-Specific-Multi-Media Performances”, “Over-All-Dramaturgy”
(creating a process from “pre- to post-performance”). post theater
also gives lectures on various subject matters, including the
themes of the workshops and the “making of” of their artistic
